Daniel Lakeland, PHD
Daniel Lakeland has spent 20 years working on applied problems in science, business, engineering, and computing. He has experience in a wide variety of applied sciences techniques in many areas of application, including engineering, bio-sciences, law, medicine, and finance. He specializes in the use of Bayesian methods and Agent Based Modeling to understand complex interacting systems. He has published journal articles in Engineering Sciences, Biology, and Bioinformatics. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Southern California as well as a BS in Mathematics from Iowa State, and a BS in Civil Engineering from UC Davis.

Francesca Mariani is an Associate Professor at the Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her research team studies the role of stem cells in the repair of bone and cartilage.

Dennis Hazelett PhD is an Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics at Cedars Sinai Hospital. He studies how genetic variation in cancers contribute to the severity of disease, rapidity of progression, and response to treatment.

David Oliver is a trial lawyer specializing in the legal issues surrounding the use of scientific evidence, statistical inference, risk management, and their role in liability. Before turning to law he studied Chemistry at the PhD level.
